Our company was established in 2011 after 40 years of various agricultural pursuits by the late Petros Matsoukas and is now mainly engaged in the cultivation of olive trees and the production of organic extra virgin olive oil.
What sets Matsoukas Organic Olive Oil apart is that the olives are picked with the latest technology mechanically, they are not pitted and the fruit is not injured. Oil Extraction is done on the same day in an approved and certified unit in cold pressing method, resulting in the best Quality and very Low Acidity.
It is produced according to the principles of organic farming with specific rules and practices, based on fertilization, disease control, tree arrangement and orientation in the olive grove and pruning.
Agoureleo is extracted first by squeezing the olives when they are still green (immature). Beside its low acidity, agoureleo is richer in omega3 and 6 fats.
Organic extra virgin olive oil of the Koroneiki variety, with tastes of tomato plant-green banana and strong aromas of Olive leafs and green almond.
An approved control and standardization organization conducts control at all stages of cultivation, production and bottling, in order to confirm and grant Matsoukas Organic Olive Oil a certificate of organic origin.
What sets matsoukas organic olive oil is that oiling is done on the same day after 2-3 hours from the collection of the fruit, mechanically with the latest technology means, in a period that is decided after continuous check of the quality and content of the olive fruit.
Our organic olive tree cultivation is in accordance with the principles of organic farming with specific rules and practices based on fertilization, careful and systematic irrigation, disease control, tree arrangement, pruning and orientation in their own olive groves. The use of chemical or other inorganic fertilizers, spraying, the use of pesticides, herbicides and insecticides is prohibited.
We choose the Right Day for picking after daily check of the quality and content of the olive fruit. Harvest done with state-of-the-art mechanical means, that they do not sting or hurt the fruit. Oil Extracion is done on the same day after 2-3 hours in an approved and certified cold pressing unit resulting in the best quality and extremely low Acidity.
Μatsoukas Οrganic olive oil is stored filtered in stainless containers, in a room with a controlled temperature of 18°C and is carefully bottled in dark glass bottles only with a safety cap to protect it from heat, air and light.
Matsoukas Organic is 1 of the 5 Members of ARTOLIO programme in Cyprus.
ARTOLIO is a European project, part of the ENICBC Med program for cross-border cooperation in the Mediterranean, was launched in October 2020 with the aim of implementing innovative, developmental measures that will lead to the improvement of the quality of olive oil production.
